So we went up to Newcastle, UT this year for what has become quite the tradition for Jeff's parents and our family. This year we were exceptionally excited as Jon & Rycci's little family joined us. It was a blast. Our little families camped out in what had to be the nicest camping grounds I've ever camped out on... Jeff's parents backyard. May sound silly, but we had a blast.
The day of the 24th with the Newcastle parade. It's amazing how much candy can be acquired from a 15 min parade in a small town. The kids enjoyed running up and down the streets with grandpa, and watching their little buckets from grandma grow with candy. They had so much fun.

After the parade was the lunch and best of all the blow up "Water-Slide". Matthew couldn't wait and spent most of the day going down it with Skyler, Aleina & Devin.

Followed by a one of a kind fireworks show, boy who else? Jeff & Jon! and that was after the whole sneaking on the roof and throwing stuff at Rycci & I... yeah you two just wait we'll get you two back... ha ha.
We did sparklers!
Later that night we stayed up till 1am playing games and camped out again . The next morning we packed up a cooler and headed out toward Pine Valley for a day of fishing. Pine valley was absolutely gorgeous! The kids had a blast playing in the water, exploring and watching their dads fish. It was such a fun day. Jon must have had the magical touch cause I think he caught more than just about everyone at the lake, so much that the lady sitting next to us gave up and asked to keep one of his. He was modest about it though,.. smiling as he told everyone that he "lost count after 10"... ha ha. Didn't we confirm though that a fisherman is a liar if he says that.. right Jon? just teasing.

As you can see fishing was a blast. This was such a nice getaway, we can't wait till we get the chance to do this again with our family.
